Forest Museum
0KM: A Gateway to Urban Mountains and Nature
Located in Da’an District, Taipei City, 0km Forest Museum officially opened on March 21, 2024. Positioned as an urban gateway to the mountains, it begins with daily life as a starting point to explore the beauty of nature.
Although Taiwan is small and densely populated, an impressive 60.7% of its land is covered by forests, and its biodiversity exceeds the global average by more than 150 times. This abundance of natural environments and ecosystems is one of Taiwan’s greatest treasures. Learning how to live sustainably with nature has become an essential lesson for every Taiwanese.
Through four uniquely designed landscape zones, 0km Forest Museum creates deep connections between people and the natural world. With diverse forest-themed exhibitions, it guides visitors from the forest back into everyday life.
