Current Focus: Craftsmen’s Studio – Phase III
Theme: From Wilderness to Everyday
This stage highlights the free flow of woodcraft in ⇄ out—between indoor and outdoor, and between the tree’s inner heartwood and outer bark. It symbolizes the creative journey of input ⇄ output: three craftsmen draw from their cultures, passions, or family legacies, channeling their craft outward to the world. Their works showcase the creativity rooted in the land while embodying the exhibition’s core spirit.
Three brands, three perspectives, one dialogue of woodcraft freedom.
Featured Brands
BLACK Design|Wood × Lifestyle
Originating from a mountain photography team, BLACK Design bridges life × art × nature, bringing the spirit of camping freedom into homes. For this exhibition, they debut a limited-edition series of domestic wood camping furniture—tables, chairs, and racks—alongside their BD HOME line, erasing the boundaries between outdoor adventure and home interiors.
Lumamiling|Wood × Culture
With bark fiber craftsmanship at its core, Lumamiling is deeply rooted in Paiwan and Rukai traditions. The team reclaims the paper mulberry—once dismissed as “miscellaneous wood”—and transforms it into furniture, lighting, and other works. For this exhibition, paper mulberry is paired with mahogany, inviting visitors to reconnect with culture and craft through the tactile language of materials.
YUANTAI Bamboo Art Studio|Wood × Daily Life
Bamboo, once essential to daily life in Taiwan, has gradually faded from view. YUANTAI reintroduces bamboo into modern living through everyday items such as toothbrushes and straws, promoting ESG and SDG goals of sustainability and plastic reduction. This exhibition emphasizes bamboo not only as a traditional material but also as a natural, eco-friendly choice that complements contemporary minimalist lifestyles.
